Tommy Boy Fest takes place August 7–9, 2025, in downtown Sandusky, Ohio. Most events will occur on the Jackson Street Pier and Columbus Avenue.
The movie screenings and concerts will be shown on an outdoor screen with a grass lawn on the pier. We recommend bringing your own lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
Sandusky does not have its own commercial airport, but we’re about one hour from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and two hours from Detroit Metro Airport.
If you’re driving, Sandusky is close to the Ohio Turnpike (I-80/I-90) with easy access from Cleveland, Toledo, and Detroit.
Greyhound and Amtrak also have stops in Sandusky, providing additional bus and train options.
There are no direct flights from Cuyahoga Falls, but between airports, highways, buses, and trains, there are plenty of ways to get here.
Nope! Tommy Boy Fest is a free event. Concerts, outdoor movie screenings, the classic car show, and other activities are open to the public at no charge. Food, drinks, merchandise, and special experiences (like boat cruises) may have separate costs.
Merchandise will be available during the event at Big Tom’s Market: Brake Pads and More at the Mylander Pavilion. Vendors will be selling a variety of Tommy Boy-inspired items, t-shirts, and other products.
Yes. The Sandusky area has many hotels, motels, and vacation rentals. Shores & Islands Ohio maintains an up-to-date lodging list at shoresandislands.com. We recommend booking early—summer weekends fill up fast.
There is no tent camping on festival grounds. Sandusky and the surrounding area have several campgrounds and RV parks. Sleeping in a van or vehicle on city streets or public property is not allowed. Please check local campground options.
Leashed dogs are welcome in outdoor public spaces like Jackson Street Pier and Columbus Avenue. Be mindful of crowds, noise, and hot pavement. Dogs may not be allowed on some boat cruises or inside certain vendor areas.
There’s free public parking available in downtown Sandusky, including lots and street parking. You can find parking maps and details at www.cityofsandusky.com/parking.
We encourage you to support local food trucks, vendors, and downtown restaurants during the event. You can bring your own non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, but no outside alcohol is permitted.
Downtown Sandusky has a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), so alcoholic drinks purchased from participating bars and restaurants can be carried within the marked DORA boundaries in official cups. Look for DORA signs and check cityofsandusky.com/dora for details.
Tommy Boy Fest is hosted by the City of Sandusky, Shores & Islands Ohio, and the Greater Sandusky Partnership. Local businesses and community partners are also helping make the event possible.
